Calms sensitive skin and reduces redness: Feverfew extract (especially parthenolide-free formulations) has demonstrated the ability to reduce UV-induced skin redness and irritation. It inhibits the release of inflammatory signals and provides antioxidant protection. Notably, a feverfew-containing lotion significantly decreased facial redness and stinging in sensitive skin subjects over 8 weeks. It’s also an antioxidant, helping to protect against environmental damage. Many “anti-redness” products use feverfew for its gentle soothing effect on rosacea-prone or irritated skin.
